As the winter chill begins to melt away this month, it's time to once again break out the strollers and tow the little ones out to one of the biggest kid-friendly carnivals of the year.

Broadway at the Beach will host its 11th Annual KidzTime Festival, presented by Wendy's, on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This family-friendly event offers free admission and is open to the public.

The festival will take place in Broadway Commons, located next to the official Broadway at the Beach Visitor's Center, on the 21st Avenue North side of the property. Participating vendors will be located inside and outside of the large, heated circus-style tent and will be offering a variety of kid-friendly games, interactive activities, performances, mascot appearances and giveaways.

In addition, live performances will be featured throughout the day on the main stage. Performances include entertainment from Dino Capone's School of Rock, Carolina FreeStyle Cloggers, Aumakua Hui, the Johnny Rocket's dancers, Karate World and Christian Tae Kwon Do.

Attendees of the festival will also be treated to a special visit from Marvel Comics' Spider-Man, appearing live from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., courtesy of Time Warner Cable.

Throughout the day of the festival, several Broadway at the Beach merchants will have special offers, discounts and promotions at their respective locations. Attendees will receive a list of these participating merchants along with the presenting offer as they enter the festival.

The KidzTime Festival draws thousands of people each and every year.
